• Mr. Turner's hatred and jealousy of Mr. Dinkleberg is similar to Homer Simpson, another moronic cartoon dad, and his hatred of Ned Flanders and his family from The Simpsons, which Butch Hartman is a big fan of that show. However, the Dinklebergs don't have any children and Dinkleberg has a wife while Flanders has two sons called Rod and Todd and Maude Flanders, who was the Ned Flanders's wife, is dead since the episode, "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily". Ned Flanders has married "Edna Krabappel" as of the episode, "Ned 'n Edna's Blend".
    • A parody of Ned Flanders appears on The Fairly OddParents episode, "Channel Chasers", in The Feldmans, which is a parody of The Simpsons.
  • Sheldon Dinkleberg could also be a reference to Stephen Hillenburg, creator of SpongeBob SquarePants, who is Butch Hartman's "rival" on the network. The show's antagonist Plankton is also called Sheldon.
  • The Dinkleberg's name is a reference to D.I.N.K., meaning Dual Income No Kids, which refers to married couples like the Dinklebergs who have large amounts of money due to not spending it on kids.
  • Even though Sheldon Dinkleberg doesn't seem to want (or like) children, he is willing to be involved with them as evidenced by the fact he is coach of the pee-wee soccer team named the Dinkle Ducks. He even once gave Timmy a bike and money out of kindness.
  • In the episode, Operation: Dinkleberg, it's revealed that Sheldon donated one of his kidneys to save Mr. Turner's life.
  • As 2010 "Dinkleberg..." has achieved memetic status. The meme consists of an image of Mr. Turner from "Miss Dimmsdale" blaming Dinkleberg for either something irrelevant or a world problem.
  • It is also reveald that Mr. Dinkleberg is allergic to dust and lobster, but however in one episode he is seen eating a lobster.
  • In Weirdos on a Train, it is revealed that he is also allergic to onions.
  • In I Dream of Cosmo, it is revealed if Dinkleberg doesn't exist, Mrs. Turner would be a two headed fire breathing monster.
  • Although he did not appear in Season 6, he was mentioned a few times.
