Trivia
- The title is based on the phrase, "He shoots, he scores"
- This episode premiered first in Latin America, on March 29, 2010.
- In Brazil, this episode was rerun in June 2010, as part of the FIFA World Cup marathon, where the Nicktoons competed and the most voted by the public would win. "The Fairly OddParents" was the winner, beating shows like "SpongeBob"...maybe because the other shows had no soccer-themed episodes.
- This episode was going to air with Playdate of Doom, but it aired with The Boss Of Me instead.
- This the the second time someone remarks that Cosmo is the biggest moron, but Timmy's Dad is seen doing something dumber than Cosmo, the first time is "Temporary Fairy!"
- The Lecterville Cannibals is a reference to Silence of the Lambs character Hannibal Lecter.
- When Tootie is cheerleading for the Victims, she jumps up and down and yells "Woohoo! Woohoo!" like Daffy Duck.
- Tootie wins the Tour de France in this episode.
- The Dinkleberg Ducks may be a reference to The Mighty Ducks.
- The Dark Knights are an obvious reference to the 2008 Batman movie,The Dark Knight.
- The teams The Victims face are:
- The Cannibals
- The Cyborgs
- The Black Belts
- The Pirates
- The Dark Knights
- The Dinkle Ducks
- Running Gag - Timmy beating the other team because of Poof. Mr. Turner ripping his hair everytime Timmy miss the goal.
- One odd thing about this episode is that except for the Dimmsdale Victims cry "Not in the Face", none of Timmy's team mates say anything, including Timmy's friends Chester, A.J., Sanjay, or Elmer. Even when Timmy kicks the ball from Chester and heads towards the opposing team's goal, Chester looks surprised, but still says nothing.
- This is one of the only episodes where Timmy doesn't make a wish. The reason is that the wish would probably have been related to soccor but because he was in a compitition he could not make any wishes because it is against Da Rules.
- Mr. Turner ripping of his own hair is similar to what he did in Channel Chasers.
- The Verizon FiOs channel guide calls this episode "He Poofs, She Scores."
