Clint's Hints is a television program that appeared in The Fairly OddParents television special, "Channel Chasers".
Information[]
This show is a parody of Blue's Clues, a popular educational Nickelodeon/Nick Jr./Noggin children's television series that first aired in 1996 with a test pilot in 1995. The characters each became animals and objects when they entered this television program. Timmy Turner was a piglet, Future Timmy was a mallard duck, Vicky was a squirrel, and Cosmo and Wanda were a fork and spoon (silverware). The live-action host, Jeff (portrayed in live action by Jason Marsden) was the only character seen and is a reference to Blue's Clues live-action character Steve and his later replacement, Joe, and later his replacement, Josh, and his name is referenced after The Wiggles character, Jeff Wiggle. (Jeff Fatt). The other characters are drawn felty-style instead of FOP style, in respect to said parody.
Background[]
This show is the fourteenth show visited in "Channel Chasers", after Timmy Turner wished for a Magic TV Remote that allowed him to travel through television as if the programs were real worlds. While pursuing Vicky in order to stop her from reaching the Dictator Week television program, Timmy and his companions end up here. Vicky is seen as a squirrel first, laughing and then disappearing off-screen. Then Jeff, appears, cartwheeling in, and introduces to himself, and tells the viewers to ignore his shaving cut & 5:00 shadow, and claims that he's a kid just like his viewers, and asks his viewers to find some Clint's Hints, an he leaves the set. Timmy, his older self, and his fairies appear shortly after, in the form of a piglet, mallard duck, and eating utensils. Timmy noticed a blue paw print with a "V" letter on the ground. Jeff, the live-action human host, speaks to the audience and says that Timmy found a hint, then laughs crazily. Timmy and his future self check the TV Guide to see where Vicky's next destination may have been, and they all jump into the nearby television to enter the next program.
Trivia[]
- Vicky is a squirrel, referencing the main protagonist of Blue's Clues, Blue. Cosmo the fork and Wanda the spoon are references to Shovel and Pail. It is unknown which characters Older Timmy (as a duck) and Timmy (as a pig) are parodying
- Vicky's footprint is the same color and size of Blue's paw-print in Blue's Clues.
- The striped-shirt and tan pants that Jeff wears is similar to what Steve wears, except the striped-shirt's colors are yellow and black (similar to a bee's color) instead of light green and dark green.
- The footage of Jeff was shot in the same studio the real Blue's Clues series was shot in.
